don't you just hate it when an unknown rod comes along and instantly becomes the "new"go to rod.
i picked up an unmarked blank last year,$0.00. As i payed so little I made up the rod with old guides and wine corks.
The reel seat from an old spinning rod.it was originally 7 feet ,one piece.I cut it in half and fitted a spigot and ferrule band made from a slice of an old graphite rod.This rod is unsanded and is a caramel/yellow color.Not bright yellow like a fenwick.I have fished alot of rods and wasted most of my life fly fishing ,nothing fishes like this rod.
It casts a 6 wt effortlessly .I can detect the faintest takes and I have landed some decent cutthroats and rainbows.
Now the sad part.I want another one.But what the heck is it.?I measured the diameters of the rod tip to handle
in 5 inch spaces
tip=.080 the .120 .145 .167 .187 .205 .226 ,250 .275 .302 .325 .352 .380 .405 .432 .460(at top of grip 9 1/2 "
from the butt.)
This rod is very light.It makes other rods feel like a clunky.
any ideas?

Pictures would be great.

1pc blank makes me think either a spinning blank (in which case it would be a fast rod) or a lamiglass.
