Not sure if this is allowed here, but I recently wrote up a blog post about all my 4-weight rods. It is heavy on glass. Here is the link in case anyone wants to check it out.

Enjoy!

Nice write up and quite the collection of four weights. You probably have a hard time deciding which outfit to fish on any given day given all the great options.

Holy collection, Batman. I love 4wt, too. Wish I could try casting some of those beauties. Congratulations.

I love seeing rod collections and reviews, comparing different treasures. What a great group of rods, perfect for your area, and it’s always good to find someone with more rods than I have, to make my collection seem “reasonable”. Thanks

Nice. To me a 4wt is any rod I happen to be casting a 4wt on. The 4 weight line is the line of choice for most of my trout fishing. Long/short/powerful/gentle/fast/slow/progressive/parabolic.....if it can cast a 4wt It's usually fun to play with.

The SFL476 is particularly enviable -

4 weight is my go to line weight. Chris Barclay calls me 'Mr 4 Weight' :)

I’m sure that’s the case. After this post, I tried to do it in my head, and did come up with the handful of glass rods that I fish as 4wts, but then went to the rod rack(s) and there’re several more that sometimes get a 4; most are 4/5s but a couple of 3/4s. And just that exercise reminded me that a couple of great rods really need to see the water.

Nice write up and an even better line up you got there. I too find myself consistently grabbing a 4wt for our local trout waters.

That green Steffen is the most interesting to me. I have never seen a picture of another (at least that I can remember)
Many years ago when we were still on Yuku, Mark Steffen actually took a poll of this message board to determine his future color which ended up being amber.
Thanks for posting

Very nice. You need to add a 7 1/2 ft 4 wt Lamiglas to that fine group and you would have a perfect collection. :-)

Nice post & great collection. Enjoyed reading it, plus it assuaged my guilt at having 8 fiberglass 4-weights. 8)
