I just noticed a new rod at bluedunn.net
A 7'3" 3/4wt 6pc. It looks really interesting.

https://www.bluedun.net/campanella_glas ... _song2.htm

It looks like it would make a nice Blue Ridge brook trout rod.

Very nice rod. If you translate the text the description notes it has graphite spigots. I love my graphite 4wt Campanella.

I would expect, and hope for, graphite spigots on at least the top section if not the top two. I built a 5' 3pc rod that I had to ferrule. There was no way a glass spigot would be stiff enough for the tip section.

I've been trying to assemble as collection of highly packable rods. This one looks promising.

That is a really sharp looking rod. I wonder how the action of the blank compares to the Axisco Airrite Stream 6 piece rod. I have the Stream in a 7'6" length, and it is a very soft, full flexing blank. It also has graphite spigots or it would probably be even softer than it is. There is definitely a difference in price between the two.

Looks like the rod is limited edition and only available until February 2021. Would be wise to order one soon.

I've got the first version Campanella glass rod from last year.
The first one is white with orange wraps. Haven't fished it yet. It's a 6'6" 6pc 3wt, the last spigot especially is very thin. It casts very nicely and accurately, the grip is 5" so quite short.
I'm no expert but the glass seems very high quality. The white colour is a pure white, like how I understand the Kabuto white colour to be and you can see the spiral pattern of the glass.
My Yamame 4 piece has so far has done the job that I bought the Campanella for... Can't get enough of short glass rods

I have a 6pce Campenella 7'7" 3wt in graphite (solid tip), the attention to detail is stunning and it is an excellent caster too, certainly worth what I paid for it new from Blue Dun. Of course it should be for the prices they are asking.
They are definitely a big step up from the Axisco as I have those too. By the way the Axisco is a really nice rod too.

If you order one, you might want to check how long it will take to arrive. Due to COVID, Japan has suspended air mailing of parcels to the US. Our son, who lives in Tokyo, had to send our Christmas presents by boat! Who knows when we'll get them.

I know a lot of you are willing to pay quite a lot for a simple fiberglass stick, but $685.72 seems like a lot of money for what you'd be getting.

The classic light series I ordered are more than half that cost. But they are riding on this being a limited edition and a cooperative project.

Please, keep this topic as framed very by the origin post. If you have an alternative from another maker/origin and different price point, just start a new thread on that model, or add to one of many threads on it.

Campanella has another limited edition glass rod coming out: Yellow Sally 7’ 3wt 4 piece. Only 80 are being offered, Blue Dun has a notice on their site about it.

I was looking on Yahoo.jp (I do a bit of shopping there through my broker, Masamichi at noppin.com).
There are a couple of nice glass rods right now, including a very nicely finished and unused Trutta Izch PB S-glass 8' 4/5-wt for about $350 with brokerage (plus shipping).
