I have had this wonderod for many years I never fished it but it is a conundrum when it comes to identifying (I have looked for hours on all the resources available) no avail
A few things
1) no stripper on the butt
2 one guide (snake) on butt
3) light yellow wraps
4) gold rod
5) silver reel seat
6) 8ā€™6ā€ length
I will try to figure out how to post pics
But if anyone has an idea prior, I would love to have a discussion
BTW Iā€™m ZOLE from nepa Glad to introduce myself

[Edit: I fixed them. After you clicked in your post to add the uploaded image, you removed the [rimg] codes. Don't remove them. Without those codes the forum software doesn't know that is a photo. Tom]

Yes, you have a Shakespeare Wonderod. Someone refinished the rod and obliterated the model information. The wraps are long and the thread is rather coarse - both hallmarks of amateur rebuilds. The lack of a stripping guide speaks to an inexperienced amateur. Sorry.

You can look through the Shakespeare catalog thread to see which rods have that same reelseat. But Shakespeare made many 8'6" rods. It will be tough to ID yours with what you have left.

Make sure you keep the ferrule really clean. They are very susceptible to damage and seizing up.
