I've got a barely (or never) used Fenwick with no size/line/style markings on it. It does have a Fenwick decal with number M247727. The rod is 8 feet and matches with a 5wt line. Any idea which rod this might be?

Color? is it glass or graphite? I am pretty sure they had started making graphite by then. a picture would be great. Especially of the grip/reelseat and the area above the reelseat, and then the ferrule (where the two sections meet).

In glass, it would be an FF805, FF806, FL96-6 It is odd that it has a sticker (that would preclude the FL96-6) but no model number.

Rod is fiberglass. Images aren't great, but maybe they'll help.

That does seem a little odd. My FF786 has the Fenwick/Woodstream logo on a sticker with the “S” serial number; that’s only place the Fenwick name appears, but it does have the model designation, weight, etc., as usual further up the blank.
Have you tried it with a 6 wt line? I’ve never fished an FF806, but most of my Fenwicks are marked as 6wts, and that’s mostly how I fish them, but I sometimes use 5 wt lines, and it wouldn’t surprise me if many find that as a match.

Embarrassing but I can't seem to get images to upload. The rod is brown, 2 stripping guides. A rubber/foam plug in the male ferrule.

If you're following Admin's instructions for using the FFR photoserver, it won't upload if your file size is too big.
You need to reduce the image resolution, which you can do by opening your photo in, e.g., Windows Paint, and Resize to about 1000 pixels wide, and best to save with a new name.

Posting photos from your phone or any other device you can use to connect here is pretty simple I’ve found.

Two stripping guides seems unusual for a 5 wt; the only Fenwick I have with two is the FF807, even my FF85 has only one. I think Fenwick would do some special builds, perhaps this was one, and that’s why it wasn’t given a model designation.
