Tom - your rod is stuck in 1985 Sir.

Something should (uh, will) have to be done about that seat... ugh...

I will eat a sandwich made of LIVER if that is the same TOM as our tom here...

Brian, your humor usually escapes understanding, but thanks for trying.
Nice rod, and I'm with you on the reel seat in this application, the but Powell seat is one of the smartest and classiest uplockers.
Even nicer reel. :hat

If by our Tom you are referring to jgestar, then you are safe from having to eat that liver sandwich.

The reel is not broken, it's enhanced. That's the rarely seen home shop reel rim exposure modification.

Sadly my name has never been associated with verbs like rhyme, sing, or dance. Brian's stomach is safe from liver consumption.

Oh I know that guy. I run into him on the river now and then year to year. Not that often; once in a while. He told me he had one of those and was sorry he let it go. I don't figure to get out so much this year, but if you send it out to me, it's just a matter of time when conditions are right in the next few years at the long run along the boulder strewn shoreline with big white pines. That's where I usually see him, so if you send it to me, I could show it to him for you.

Brian, is that the standard "light weight" or the wide model? I have a wide that I got recently for a bamboo rod from Joe Balestrieri. As Ron has stated before it's just about the best DT5F reel you can get your hands on. And still at a relatively reasonable price to boot.

An eBay B686SFL is next up in my rebuild queue. Really nice blank.

Also if no one’s going to eat that liver sandwich, I’ll take it...
