Is it everything it's cracked up to be?
In a word, 'yes.'
Lovely, medium but quick, and the recovery? Oh My...just incredible.
If you're in the market for a short, small stream (and panfish) do-it-all rod...look no further!

Agree, mine went on the "no sellum" list. It pushes me to sell others though, and I am struggling with doing that, so far anyway.

Tried a 4 weight line on my Barclay 723 and it casts marvellously.
Just trying to convince I don't need a Driftless Special...

I know this thread is archaic, but I am expecting to have some money become available around the end of September.

At first I was considering a 2 or 5 wt Superfine Glass.

Then I was considering an Epic 686.

Now I'm thinking if Chris would put a locking real seat on a Driftless Special, I might want to do that.

I trust y'all are still happy with yours?
