Does anyone know about these rods, and the Club?...
Or possible someone that belonged to the Club?... How did they get these rods made special for them? Did Fenwick do other special orders? I wonder how many were made in different sizes...?
I`ve acquired 1, that feels like an 8wt, but it`s not listed on the rod.Just a Golden Gate Bridge icon/drawing.. it`s an interesting brown/grey colored blank...
I`ll try it along side the FF85(7-8-9) ...and see which one feels better throwing 8

I don’t think there was ever a club called the Golden Gate Bridge Club, but there was, and still is, the Golden Gate Angling & Casting Club. I don’t think there were ever any custom rods with a bridge logo made for the GGACC, but there was a line of low end glass rods that had the brand name Golden Gate. They weren’t related to the club, however. Jim Green, the Fenwick rod designer, was a member of the GGACC and did make a few custom rods for the club, but they were on either Fenwick yellow or brown blanks and not brown/gray

Compare your rod/label to the one pictured in this discussion: viewtopic.php?p=313922#p313922
