Within the last month I've stumbled upon a few rods on the ol auction site... First is a Herters M504 8'6". No markings for line designation. Haven't had a chance to give it a cast yet. I'm guessing it'll handle a 6/7 comfortably. Full flexing. Four guides plus stripper and tip. I'm guessing it's made by TrueTemper by the "Original Tungsten Carbide Stripper Guide" stamp on it

Next is a 7'6" Actionrod model 1576. Got this for a pretty good deal. Came with original sock. Really like the bamboo paint job. Couldn't find much of anything for info. HEH E. So should be a 5wt. Very light weight. Might even toss a 4wt. Love the mini full wells. 7 guides plus stripper and tip.

That Actionrod is something else, it looks virtually new and in a desireable length. Great score.

And no, there isn't a lot of info on Actionrods.

It is in very good condition. 8.5/10. Close inspection will reveal some nicks here and there. Wraps are in good shape as well. It was definitely used but well taken care of.

the Actionrod is a hoot.. the number of guides suggest it was built as a high-end rod, will be interested to hear how it fishes..

I have a Heddon Star Cast with not enough guides, like your 'Four guides plus stripper '. The rod isn't bad but really needs another few guides. I hate to remove the 70s disco-era mylar wrappings though..

The rod is a sweet caster when lined with a Cortland Sylk DT5F. Blank flexes all the way into the handle and to the butt. Fun rod to cast and catch fish on. It will be seeing a lot of action.
