While Hellmtflies is a gourmet, I am a gourmand. Many of my rods have a loose or rewrapped guide, are missing the original sock and tube and I favor vintage 8' or 8'6" 6wt's

However I refuse to actually count them all, let alone list them all.

I can give a good estimate of my Fenwick collection.

Mark K, I feel like such a piker. That mint Russ Peak and the 5 wt. Golden Eagle are awesome, as are all those rods! I missed on a 5 wt. Golden Eagle on eBay just recently - same sliding ring reel seat and superfine grip. Alas, my snipe was low.

The mint Peak comes from a prominent member of our angling community. I won't release his name as yet. But you all know of him. I also have all of the Peak paperwork to go with the rod. Catalogue, letters from Peak etc. I was in the right place at the right time for that one. Pretty cool.

Nah, these are old fiberglass rods. Can't be worth much. ;)

Funny that you mention that. I have one or three that may be offered to one of the museums at some time down the road. But give me a few years yet. :)

Carl and Mark may soon appear on one of those hoarder TV shows. :) My small collection is not really a collection and is more eclectic.

Lamiglas Honey FL783-6 built from a blank bought at Stroud. Coveted by Aurelio.
Lamiglas S-glass SFL96-6/7F built from a blank bought from westernwaters. Rocket launcher
FF70-4 bought from a forum member. An absolute sweetheart.

Casually keeping an eye out for something in 8 ft 4 piece in a 4 wt.

Many more self built graphite. Mostly Sage including a 6 wt 3 pc LL that I don't really know what to do with.

Rick

So many rods and so little time. After several years of fishing on the dark side (graphite) I have gone back to what I grew up with.
8' 6" Russ Peak 8wt- this was purchased as a blank at Peak's shop and has a second tip which weighs in as a 6wt. Purchased by my Dad in 1954.
8' 6" Russ Peak Zenith 8wt
7' 9" Russ Peak Zenith 4wt
7' 6" Russ Peak 4wt - my first fly rod. This one one was also purchased as a blank from Russ in 1956. I stripped down and refinished this rod about 5 years ago. New cork and guides. Kept the original stripper guide and hook keeper. It's still a joy to fish.
8' 6" Fenwick FF856-5
8' 6" Epic 686
8' RoddyPro 8wt

WOW,
I am such a light weight................
my wife and yours truly just had a tiff about too much "stuff". the house is imploding due to both parents passing and
inheriting their "stuff." I have to tread lightly on adding inventory. I am sure we know what I mean.
But- the current quiver includes
FLY RODS
Glass-
Fenwick 76 for a 6 weight
Fenwick 70 for a 5/6 weight
Graphite
Cortland GRF 1000 86 for a 6/7 weight (3)
St Croix Imperial 9 for a 8/9 weight (1)
Cabelas Three Forks 76 for a 3 weight(3)

Spinning rods
Too many to count. LOL probably 15???

and I want (dont need) a Thomas and Thomas Heirloom Glass 8 for a 4 weight but the price is a bit dear.
and I want most of the rods I see here built by our great members. ,,,,,,,,,,,,
I saw a great bumper sticker the other day- ye who does with the most toys- is still dead.....
Enjoy. thanks for this post- lots of fun to read about everyone's collection.

These are the ones I take fishing the most.

6'8" 4wt St Croix Imperial ~ Vince Cummings used this same blank in his Ultimate series. Sweet brookie rod.
6'8" 5wt Herter's ~ Same as above but a nice moderate 5wt.
7' 5wt Vince Cummings River Rat ~ Progressive and full flexing. Probably has nicest fish on feel out of all my rods.
7'6" 5wt Fenwick FF75 ~ An early in the series light action 5wt. A classic for good reason..
8' 4/5wt Vince Cummings Ultimate Ltd FL-280L ~ Fantastic casting, light yet capable rod. Clearly Vince knew what he was doing.
8' 5/6 Lamiglas SFL ~ Sweet full flexer with just enough zip for dries or small nymphs. Great feel.
8'6" 5wt South Bend 323 (bamboo) ~ A really nice medium / light action rod. A well designed 8'6" 5wt cane rod is about the perfect tool for chasing trout.
8'6" 7wt Berkley Parametric P40 ~ Light in hand and just a great casting / fishing rod. Berkley nailed this one.

Does "Current collection" since New Years mean ALL the rods we own total or what we added since January 1st?
BTW, if we wanted to test the limits of cyberspace (can you run out? )how about listings of ALL the rods you've ever owned?

Since I already had a partial list of all the rods I've owned in the "Fickle Fiberglass" thread, it was easy to take the "all rods" challenge. I still own the rods in green but the rest have been sold or gifted. Obviously, none of the rods I've sold were bad rods (OK, maybe a few were) but for various reasons they fell out of favor. All went to good homes and yes, I wish I had a few back.
