Hi, all !!
For me the end of the trout´s season means Limay River . I love this time.
My favorite combo to do this fishing is a #7 line 9 ft 6 in graphite rod and a 27 foot shooting head with 20 pound test Amnesia a short leader and a slim fly , but this time I wanted to try using an old and rebuilt ORVIS FULLFLEX # 8 line 8 ft 6 in tip over but . It worked surprisingly fine for me . I could manage the shooting line very ease , make long cast , and roll the line to pick up it from the water quickly to cast again.
The rod power did not worry me , I knew "she" had enough muscle to land any fish .
Hope you enjoy photos . The first three are from Upper Limay and the following ones from Middle Limay .

REGARDS !
Tromen !

Very nice - love that fly. Does it tangle at all? Hard to see how long the bucktail on the top of the first shank is?

Thanks all for your nice words !

jalthoff the fly does not tangle and the bucktail of the first shank should not be too long
I try to make the ends of the strands shorter than those of the hook on the back .
They are placed as on stairs .

For more data go you tube and put LA MOSCA JUSTA : POCO PELEN

Poco Pelen is the name of the fly.

Looks like a beautiful way to end the season, thank you for sharing the beautiful photos. Those old Orvis rods still have some magic in them!

Great looking fly and fish! I may need to tie a poco pelen for largemouth bass around here. Sounds like the glass 8wt worked out well for your streamer fishing.

Thanks much for sharing! Beautiful browns and it's wonderful to see a classic rod still doing it...
