Started off nymphing a small stream in NJ yesterday. Believe it or not fishing turned on with small streamers once the sun hit the water. What felt like a bold move paid off! The SFG 763 slung some small slumpbusters wonderfully in the wind!

Nice fish. What was your rig you used besides the SFG? Thanks for sharing

Thanks AV!

I had the 763 with a Colorado LT. I use the orvis hyrdos superfine line on there (3wt).

Nice work. The slump buster is probably my most successful small stream streamer.

Nice!! I was going to hit up that same stream Sunday morning. Well, I think it's the same stream as there are not many streams in NJ with wild bows and browns. With my cough and the wind I decided against it. Thanks for the pics.

Beautiful winter fish! Do you happen to recall what size slumpbuster that 3-wt was casting?

It's not the cold, it's the humidity - nice report and photos

TytLynz2U2- I tied these in size 12.

Cappy-- maybe I will catch you out there one day! I am usually the one with a toddler on his back, but Sunday was too cold for that!
