Don't know if it is the best as I have not tried anything else, but a 406 DT5 works fine for me.

I find a 5wt is a touch underlined. A 5.5 would probably do well, but it really depends how far out you are fishing, and your casting style.

I've tried the DT5 Peach and felt it needed something a bit more. I have used the DT6 Peach in the past and have decided to continue to do so thanking you guys for your opinions.
Tight lines to you, Lou

Works as well with a 5wt as with a 6wt for me - the one I have is a bit softer than the the two piece.

the rod works well for me with a WF5, 150 grain, ie, a slightly heavy 5 wt, you might call a 5.5 wt. (in fact, it's almost a 6 wt)

A rio gold six wt is my preferred line on my FF75-4, but its not a picky rod.

I agree with BrookieBoy, it isn't picky. Seems to handle any 5-6 wt line. I like mine a bit better with a 5.
