I only have one 7ft glass rod...an Orvis Superfine Glass 7' 3wt that I bought back in 2014, along with a CFO II reel (Abel). It does everything I want in a fly rod, exceedingly well.

Fenwick FF70-4 with "E" serial number and Martin 63SS reel. It's my only 7' fiberglass rod, so that makes it my favorite. Surprisingly good roll casting rod.

Phillipson RF70c, with the doubled spiral guides. It really sings with a 5 or a 6, and it is one of my go-to warmwater rods with a MG-7 or 67a. It is one of the few rods that I can really "paint" with; it makes me feel much more skilled than I am.

I agree about the feel. Like a smooth paintbrush. My maroon "LLBean" 7fter philly feels that way (probably the same blank). One of my favorites.
Also like my 7' river rat as a 3-4wt.

The 703 was a bit of a sleeper in the SFG series but definitely a real gem of a rod. I owned one briefly and sold it in favour of the 764. In hindsight, I should’ve kept both. It’s too bad Orvis discontinued the 703.

My favorite by far: Garcia Conlon "Five-star" 2402-A #6 weight. I doubt any fiberglass in all the years since has bettered it.

7 ft Sceptre built by Andy Manchester. I’ve had several 7 footers of various line weights over the years, this one stays.

+1 on the Epic 370. Just a sweet casting and fish catching rod

For me it's a 7' 4wt built on a reddish brown Fisher blank. I don't know who the blank was rolled for but it is one smooth casting rod, the best I've found in a 4wt.
