Will be used for dryflies only in smaller rivers.
Seen people say Cortland and Royal Wulff, but next to impossible to find here in Norway.

Considering SA Creek Trout #3 as they are a full size heavy

I have had very good luck with the SA lines in general. Although I haven't used the Creek Trout line specifically I have read that this line is well received. I am interested in trying it myself at some point.

I have a rio creek on mine, I haven't tried anything else but it seem ok close in, does 'collapse' a bit on a long cast but that could be bad technique on my part

I have a Cortland 444 dt 4wt on mine. But I'd assume any standard dt would be fine.

I have the 8’ 4wt River Glass and didn’t care for the Rio Creek line as it felt clunky, it was designed for loading at short distances and I got that rod for fishing smaller rivers and needed to cast out 30-50 ft. Cortland Peach 4WF was the line I settled on after trying several lines.

Got a Rio Gold for it and it felt quite nice, also have a Guideline Control 3.0 that also felt nice.
Thanks for the offer though

Kav1, lakes and rivers in the Oslo-area are usually open, i.e. not ice-covered, from mid-april/early may. In the Kristiansand area this happens 3-4 weeks earlier. Hardangervidda, as you probably know has ice and snow well into June. Seatrout-fishing in the sea is very good from March-May.

Not many rivers in Oslo, only a fee small streams. But we have about 500 lakes, big and small, in the surrounding forests which hold trout, perch, pike and a few char.

Thankyou, sounds great I'll definitely pack a rod or 2 as all being well I'll get 2 -3 weeks kiting on Hardangervidda then head south for a week. Definitely plan to head back in summer/autumn too (I have friends in Geilo and Lofoten)
I'm still hoping to find my dream job over there, wish I'd learned Norwegian and moved years ago ;)
