I did a lot of fishing this year but the end of the season was some of the most fun i have had fishing in a long time. I went up to RMNP and got on part of Fall Creek, there were two beaver dams and the creek wasn't very wide in most places but the fish were biting. they were rising and feeding just under the surface so i tied on a #14 prince nymph and wow, they took that fly more times than i could count. it was rough walking near the dams, one minute your walking on damp grass the next minute im in a deep hole over my wast in water wishing i had a walking stick. i stopped counting the fish around 15 and wound up going through about 8 flies. i had fished this creek in the spring and had a few small greenbacks with #22 BWO's but that took hours so i didn't go back until this fall but it worked out. Rocky Mountain is a beautiful place to go fish or no fish.

Nice to be out in such a beautiful spot and catching some nice looking fish! A wading stick is a good piece of safety equipment that I rarely go without as I get older.

@angry_viking if im near my car or camp and i can switch rods then i have a lot to choose from but if im walking off for a bit i always take a Steffen and most of the time its a 4/5 just became it is the most versatile of all my fly rods. IMHO (and a whole bunch of other guys too)

Likewise. This is a great site we should work (and pay) to keep alive, but I’m all for more fishing and less iPhone time for all.
