Anyone use this line with their glass rods? Thoughts if you did.

I have the skyline+ in a 9wt. Very hard and slick. Rockets through guides. Noisy. I would say a half to 3/4 heavy. The head doesn’t feel overly aggressive, but its a 9wt. No coiling issues, only used in hot weather. Running line is pretty fat compared to SA lines

Thanks G8. I was considering the Icicle line which is supposed to be a limber line rated for 100 degF to below freezing. The Skyline+ is for 50 degF and above. Dealer has the lines for sale at 50% off, thinking might be worth a shot. Both lines have the same taper, and rated 1/2 size heavy which is OK as I would be using it in close nymphing and swinging soft hackles.

My positive experiences have limited benefit, as it is am Icicle 11wt on a Guideline RSi. Used for Pike to Permit. Good line for this moderate fast 11wt.
