A few photos from fishing in the Soca valley in Slovenia. I was there for the first time and it was not disappointed. For the first time in my life, I used the help of a guide. We managed to catch some nice fish. I am especially pleased with the endemic marble trout. I caught all the fish dry fly with my McFarland # 5 8'6''. The Soca is the most spectacular river I have ever seen. The color is amazing.

That’s wonderful. Pictures always make the water in Slovenia seem so bright.

lovely, thank you..

how was the guide experience ?
I was in Cozumel recently and the only way to get to the bonefish/tarpon is a guided boat trip, nearly broke down and spent the $500 for my first guided trip.. but did not.. ha

Absolutely beautiful! That's a bucket list trip of mine!

I follow a Soca fishing guide on IG and the pictures of that river are like nothing I've ever seen.

Thanks for sharing,
Chris

That water looks fishy and apparently it was. I think on that specific trip some cultural experience would be very special as well.
