Went north a ways, hiked into one of my fav little lakes, and fished a crick I haven't fished before, though I have drove beside it heading to another lake, Lake has the native redband rainbow, crick is full of fat cutthroats. Rod is a 5pc REI-Lamiglas 8ft 5wt, really a soft gentle joy. Reel is an Intrepid Mulitplier. Almost all of the lake required roll casting, but that's OK, the fish cruise by just inches from the shore.

Stopped at Libby Dam on way home (my wife is a park ranger there) quite the storm brewing..

Good job! It looks like many fish were caught and a good time was had!

And I love a good storm!

Awesome! I’m a Redband fan - I definitely want to get up into some in Montana someday. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic! I love little creeks like that. I have a similar story about a local feeder creek that I drive over everyday. One day I decided to explorer the creek and caught some beautiful fish. Great report! Thanks for letting us live vicariously.

Scott, the lami is unsanded. Is a soft, full flexing joy.
