This is the crick that runs by my house. It is not a relaxing crick to fish, but has rainbows and the rare brook trout and even rarer small bull trout. Some of these pictures are several weeks old. Rod is my 6pc 6ft South Bend. Most of the time I use a EHC or sitmulator, if I really want to catch more fish, a sinking nymph 12" under some red yarn is the ticket. Last couple pictures have my old dog Duff in them, this is a spot near enough the road we can get him there, his crick fishin days are past but he still loves to go and be part of the pack.

Pretty little crick and seems perfect for a 6’ rod.

You have mentioned this water a few times and I was hoping one day you would post some pictures, that looks really cool and a great challenge … and bull trout no less! I’d use my 6ft Silaflex back in there.

Nice to have pretty fishing handy. Glad Duff can get in on the fun.

Beautiful! And surprisingly reminiscent of wild trout water in some parts of the southern app mountains. It looks like you are fishing a VERY stout leader with red maxima (?) to within just inches of the dry fly? I wouldnt have thought that would work! Clearly it does.

Never tire of seeing small streams like this. The dogs look happy :)

G'Day,
Your crick looks much like the one that runs past the bottom of my garden. Mine isn't easy to fish but it holds some nice wild, not stocked brown trout. Most of the time I fish a bead head nymph under a Humpy or Stimulator and use a 6'6" 3wt outfit.
Cheers,
Steve

Very nice, I'd love to have a small stream on my property!

Dogs are certainly interested in what your doing, glad Duff can still tag along. Lost my tail waggin partner a couple years ago, still miss him very much. Enjoy!
