Variety being the spice of life, we are bound to revel in different fly rod actions. Below are my current favorite examples of: (1) the dry fly action (Orvis Superfine Glass 7'6" 4wt), (2) the semi-parabolic action (Barclay 7'9" 5wt), and (3) the progressive action (Steffen 8'6" 6wt). What more could a man ask for?

I have cast some fine examples of the dry fly action in graphite and the progressive in graphite and bamboo, but there is just something about the fiberglass iterations of the different actions that speak to me. Vive le glass!

When I can't get out and fish I love a relaxing casting session in the back yard and comparing a couple of rods against each other for accuracy, feel, and fun factor.

Like Suburban Fly said...a truly beautiful line up of sticks!
