Today I took off of work to take my JP Ross beaver meadow out and break it in . I have been wanting to get back to this small northern Vermont stream that is 5 miles from the Canadian border that I fished 4 years ago with a friend. This brook is a little gem that I feel very rarely gets fished . Today was the perfect day had some rain last night air temp in the 70s and water temp was 60.5 degrees. These little beauties were hungry and with 5 minutes the beaver meadow had its first fish on . This is such a awesome casting small stream rod, it loads well in close and has enough power for longer cast . The rod is so smooth and crisp it is just a plain joy to fish . The beaver meadow has exceeded my expectations and is a great blank at great price point . I see myself taking many more days off of work with my new brookie fishing partner my beaver meadow.

Beautiful fish and a lovely stream. Glad the rod’s performing so well, it seems a great match for such water, and I hope you enjoy it often.

If my work was near that stream I would never work.

That's some great looking water. Love the ventilated grip on the rod too.

Beautiful fish and stream. Your beaver meadow has a ventilated cork grip? Very cool.

Nice pics. I built the 8' 5wt beaver meadow and also enjoy the rod.
