First off it's been a lot of fun fishing my 686 in freshwater. I'm currently in Canada and couldn't wait to wet a line. After using the 888 I noticed that the 686 is a slower rod. But it does the job and boy does it tame those chunks. I've caught fall fish, rock bass, and of course smallmouth bass. Here's a little sample of some of the chunks I've been catching.

That's a healthy looking fish! Share some more pictures if you can. Smallmouth and glass rods are a wonderful match.
