We are unfortunately experiencing an unusual heat wave and my fly rods are well put away. The trout have nothing to fear from me, they can feed without stress.

Earlier in the season I made a few fishing trips in the small river that passes near my home, I caught and released some beautiful native trout that you can appreciate the natural beauty that nature has given them.

Gorgeous fish..thanks for the photos.

Wondered if marble trout were found locally, but seems they are not in Switzerland

Different looking trout than ours here, but just as beautiful.

I for one have no love of the the few patterns of brown trout established in North America, but I am absolutely fascinated by their diversity on their home continent(s.) Thank you for the pictures!

The first two pics of the lighter-colored fish: is that a brownie? Those colors seem very unique (at least on this side of the pond).

Enjoyed seeing the native browns in your area. Sorry to hear about the heat; it's wildfire season out here (smoke in the mountains).

That first fish looks like a ghost!

It's great to see so much diversity in the literal gene pool. Fantastic!
