Cool. Although I’m guessing it didn’t look like that when you tossed it out.

Insane!!
What did that fly look like originally?
Clarkman you are really inspiring me to chase toothy critters !
I just scored some vintage and modern rods I’m sorting out to fish for Snakeheads, Pickerel, Pike, and Tiger Musky.
What do you think the most important trait I should look for ?
8wt? Or 9wt,Cast ability VS fish fighting ability.

I think you should change your handle to Pikeman.. Lol :)
Keep it Toothy

Here's the fly pre-mangle. Kind of a gamechanger style fly....it should be noted that a couple of casts later and the material was back where it should be.

I'd go at least a 9wt. Not because the fish are burners or anything, in fact they don't fight particularly all that hard (they do pull pretty hard initially) but heavier weight rods can cast larger flies far easier. The Bandit is a 10wt (really more of a light 10).

That fly looks like it had a bad hair day.

do you have the original Bandit 7'9" or the new one 8 footer
does anyone know how different these two rods are?
Thanks
Apparently the Tiger Muskie had rather a bad day in the end.

I have the OG 7'9" 3pc (well, now, it's basically a 1pc since both ferrules are more stuck than anything I've ever had stuck....I don't worry about that very much though since I don't travel with it).
