Took my step daughter out to fish our local park. The weather here was beautiful today, not too hot and a nice, steady breeze. We hit a couple of our normal spots and couldn’t seem to catch anything. We decided to make one last move before giving up. We ended up fishing a shallow spot in the pond. We could see the sunfish swimming around. We took off the indicator and started tight line jigging…success!

She was excited because we could see the take and feel it. We stayed longer than we were going to and my wife called several times to tell us we were missing dinner…lol. What a great way to close out Father’s Day.

Happy Father’s Day to all you dad’s!

Looks like fun. Happy Father’s Day to all. No fishing for me, but just got back from a long walk with my two daughters through the woods and fields nearby. They’re not around at the same time much now, so it was nice.

Keep fishing - she will be gone too soon.

Some of my favorite fishing memories are with my youngest - who no longer likes to fish, but used to love catching sunfish after sunfish at some local ponds on my lightweight spinning gear. She still loves reminding me how she was outfitting me 4:1, but I was busy baiting the hooks and taking off the fish.

Great job of taking her out fishing and spending quality time with her, it is a memory she will have forever. That smile is worth a late dinner for sure. Sweet setup too - Martin on the Phillipson!!
