My buddy and I go on an annual trout trip somewhere around the Upper Midwest every May. This year we camped at Beaver Creek Valley State Park in extreme southeastern Minnesota and fished a bunch of streams in the area. Caddisflies were sporadic, but when they were on the fish were looking up. Here are a few pics:

First rod of the trip: McFarland Dirty Martini 7'9" 4wt

First trout of the trip, caught on a silver Wooly Bugger:

On the wall in the bathroom stall:

A nice trout:

Second rod of the trip: Scott F754/3

Some pics of the first day of the trip:

First fish on my new-to-me Barclay 7'10" 5wt:

Some more evening pics:

4th rod of the trip: Scott F794/4:

Last rod of the trip: Fenwick FF806-4

Plus, I made a short 5-minute video of some fish-catching tranquility, if you want to check it out:

look at the Minnesota DNR website, for their GeoPdf maps. There's a surprising amount of public access and easements, though it does take considerable effort to wade through the maps and correlate to road accesses to get to it.. I did this a couple years back, found some water and fish even in flood conditions.
