Have any of you any experience using a T&T Lotic (glass) or a Paradigm (carbon) rod, particularly in 5wt? Any recommendation?
Thank you.

Have some old Paradigms and an Heirloom.
You really need to cast the rod you intend to buy - with different weight lines. I think T&T can be very creative in rating its more interesting rods and you can be equally creative in how you line them. The tapers vary from model to model as does the overall stiffness/power relative to line rating. Don't have a Paradigm 5wt so can't help you with that specifically.
One thing they have in common is that they tend to be "presentation" rods.

I have a Paradigm five weight. It is a beautiful rod to cast and cosmetically pleasing as well. It is on the slow side of the graphite spectrum for sure. It is a graphite rod that is probably one of the closest in action to glass. I know that has been discussed in other forum discussions on this site you may want to do a search. Pretty slow and progressive taper for a graphite rod, but smooth and more parabolic than most graphite. It is very versatile and enjoyable to fish. I hope this helps.

I had entertained a Lotic in a 4wt, so I called a fly shop and asked questions; never cast one. They said the Lotic series is on the fast side for glass, very nice casting though. I went the other direction and purchased a Barclay. FWIW, I have a couple T&T rods and the build quality is top notch.
