we got a dog about a month ago now. he is 5 months old now and has cut into my fishing time severely over that past month but my wife and I decided to get out today in the 60 degree weather up into the Poudre North Fork and even though there was a lot of distract i managed one decent fish on a #20 RS2. when we came back down to town around 3:00 the temperature had dropped to 36. Probably won't get around to fishing again for a bit but it was a good day.

Well it looks like problem solved. When you can go fishing again you can have fun fishing and with the dog at the same time!

Nice looking pooch, for sure man's best friend. Keep em leashed until you know what triggers him or her. To many sad stories of lost dogs who took off after a deer or other animal.

Good looking pup. I look forward to when my pup is mature enough to be off her leash and with me on the stream. Dogs are the best!

Remember, not everyone is a "dog" person. Personally I get pissed when fishing and someone's unleashed dog is jumping into the water putting down fish. My last trip striper fishing on the Vinyard someone had their lab with them that jumped in the water and followed in every hooked fish being reeled in. The owner thought it was cute, I thought it was obnoxious. As a long time runner and biker, I also get pissed when unleashed dogs chase me down the road. Cats don't do that:)
