This is Libby Creek a mile or so above its confluence with the Kootenai river. It changes it's path across this flood plain every year. Good holding water is hard to find, but it makes for a good walk. Every time you find a good looking spot, you find a little bow or two. Right after run-off the creek here holds the occasional big fish up from the river.

Rod is a 315-4. Years ago a member of this forum gifted it too me, he said he was fond of my adventures with my dogs (MadiSue and Abi at the time) and he didn't think the rod was in any condition to sell. Using a DT6 on it, a 5wt works fine too.

You and the fish seem to have found good holding water. A good time. And always nice to bring back Madi Sue memories.
