Low and warm water makes wading easy. Took the 3 wt Echo Switch to swing streamers for smallies...zip, they were all holding deep in the weeds. Threw a mouse out there and this one sucked it in and it was the only decent sized bass for the day...most were in the 10" range.

Nice fish and interesting mouse fly. Have you tried ultra chenille as a tail material? Think you would get a little whiggle out of it in the drift and retrieve.

I have tried ultra chenille, regular chenille, looks good but not as durable as poly yarn.

All the materials for this pattern can be found in the WallyWorld craft section, it is pretty much a Gurgler modification.

Interesting fly ! Have to try that. Who doesn't love the tug of a smallmouth.

I was using a 200 grain skagit head, not sure what brand it is.
