Utah is really a spectacular place to visit. Here's the view from where I parked my car to fish a small stream for Bonneville Cutts

For this stream I was using a Fenwick FF756 and a vintage Sears reel (Bronson) loaded with Orvis Hydros Trout WF6. Perfect combo for dries on a hot day. (That's a size 14 elk hair caddis.)

Caught 7-8 in an hour and a half. Very healthy fish!

The next day we tried another stream for brookies at a much higher elevation (9000 ft.)

These fish were smaller but very aggressive.

Me flipping a size 16 stimulator on a nice stretch of the creek. I caught about 25 in 2 hours.

Here's a cool pic of the back-water of a freshly built beaver dam.

Part 2 will show how we did in our quest to take on some big Tiger trout in one of the reservoirs we like to frequent.

Awesome - sweet rig and beautiful fish. It’s fun when you get into a big pile of hungry trout. Thanks for sharing…

Oops, my bad. I also brought a 706 with me but this day I was using the 756. Both are great rods.
