Took out the CTS 865/4 and found a few trophy bluegills milling about in 12’ of water. That are sure fun to play on glass.

Those Coppernose bluegills look incredible and are known to become giants. That would be a blast on a fiberglass fly rod!

Odonata, I caught these gills on a size 16 balanced mini bugger in olive, with a bloody leech body and blue wire rib.

Not quite as massive as the CA dinner plates, but they’re getting fat in Mississippi, too! Caught these on my Shopkeeper ********* YS 9’ 3wt, which is proving to be a stellar warm water rod.
