thanks. It wasn't the best in terms of numbers, but I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week. A couple of them had me wishing I were fishing an 8wt.

Thanks again, it's really just barely getting started here. This year I've put in a bit more time to figure out the timing of the spawn, backwaters temps in relation to the main river, fly selection (lots of smolts in the river, so that makes that part easy), etc....

Plus, the tiger musky stuff doesn't really turn on for another 2-3 weeks (even though I've caught them at the current water temps), not to mention that there are also smallmouth spots within 15 minutes of my door.

yep. It's an incredibly versatile rod. Decent backbone, casts great.
