I own the 7' 3/4wt prototype, which by my understanding from Chris is pretty close to the finale 7' 3wt. Its a great small stream rod. It fishes a DT3 quite well, although I fish a WF4 on it for delivering dry/dropper setups in close. The prototype is a full flexing rod, but has a very stable recovery. Very versatile small stream setup.

I have his 1st production 62. Specs - 6'2" 4 piece 3 weight para
I've played around with it on the side of the house with a Rio Gold WF3F only.
I'll get to try a few more lines soon. It'll get fished in a couple weeks for gills and small bass

On my hit list is the 7-3, based on a forum member's Tom Morgan's Winston Stalker.

I have the 62-3 4 piece prototype as well. What a fine rod! It handle's small dry dropper rigs on small streams and still allows a smaller fish to show off. I highly recommend.

The 6’ 2” 3 and 6”6” 2 felt like they came from 2 different rod makers.I really liked the 6’6” a lot were some may like his short 3wt more.He has made some real gems over the years and always looking to cast his rods like a dump bass had a 70P and should have never sold it imho the best 7’ 3/4 I ever had.........Aurelio

Aurelio,

I’m in the queue for an 8’ 3 which will be my first Barclay, and a relatively new rod for his lineup. Chris has been fantastic to work with and get to know through this process. I’ll make a report once I have it and have done some fishing with it. Very excited.

You timed that just right Dave. That will be a sweet rod, I'm sure. You going to put the black Mercedes on it?
