Spring has sprung here in Big Sky Country. So with the weather blasting sunshine and clear skies the rivers are starting to rise and the fishing is close to bursting open for this year. It was time to get the licks in before run-off gets out of control. My better half was busy for the day so I contacted another forum member who recently moved here. You would know him as "Putemback". We headed out to try to put the steel to a few trout. Unfortunately the sunshine killed most of the water and the fishing was slow. But we didn't get "Skunked" and the day overall was just fine.
Oh, and yes, the Yankees "Opening Day is today as well !!! The game was being taped as we fished so I wouldn't miss a pitch later that night.
So, not the first trout of the new year but so far a home run!
