Chris Barclay made a heavy weight GTX blank for me last year. It has caught tarpon, big jacks and a few other large species. I have always wanted to catch a big musky on it but understand the limitations of casting something like that all day. 500g line, 10" fly, 8594785945 casts in 10 hours.
A couple weeks ago we had some boat time with Sam at Blue Ridge Musky. A long day of follows and teases was almost written off until the very end. I landed a 47" that jumped, fought and nearly bent the clip off. In last light we landed this beast. The rod has been christened.

Sam holding her up for me. He is way better at that and I needed to take pictures.

Me with her. This shows you how dark it was. Last light bite for the win.
