Here's a close by stream that I frequent. Usually not this late in the season, but we have seen more rainfall that normal and the temperatures have been good. There were plenty of fish, mostly brookies, but a few rainbows in the mix. I don't take fish photos often, especially when solo... but here's a few pictures of the day out. Enjoy!

I have a Dave Lewis pack rod that traded for several years ago. Wonderful rod. Everything I read about Dave and his wife was captured in these photos. I will be moving to Charlottesville Va. soon and hope to visit similar scenes as in the above post.

Love the newts. Went brookie fishing today with the goal of turning over some stumps and finding some newts, no luck. Nice job...

Great photos Fred. It's always a bonus to find a newt still in the red eft stage! Looks like a gem of a small stream.

There’s a fifty foot, or so, cherry tree that was uprooted last spring... I wish I would of took a few photos of it. The cherry tree fell over the stream, right at a fork... perfect cover for a fish to hold (one that I catch and release almost every outing there)... anyways, the cherry tree was full of cherries. The majority of the roots are right next to the stream and the tree is surviving as it lays horizontal. I was thinking that it was perfect for a lazy bear, who didn’t have to climb for food... I didn’t see much bear sign, but I did sample a few cherries... great tasting, but left them for the bears.
Thanks for the comments, it’s a nice little stream.
