Welcome, please post pictures of your fishing.

Thank you, today i fished on river Sázava, about 20 minutes from my home, most of my fishing time i spent on this river, trying to catch some chub and some other small species, my biggest fish from this yellowriver was 6 lbs walleye, but caught with spining rod, my biggest walleye on fly rod was about 1.5 lbs, today caught some chubs and this was today the best, bent my glass rod nice

Hi, I'm a long displaced Connecticut yankee living in the mountains of East Tennessee just outside the Great Smoky Mountains NP, the Little River flows through the back yard. Primarily a fly fisherman for anything that will cooperate but do use spinning and conventional gear where appropriate. We are locally blessed with streams and lg reservoirs for nearly anything that swims in fresh. A local kid fishing for bream with a worm recently landed (and released) an 80 lb lake sturgeon.

Don’t know if I ever introduced myself here.

Grew up in New Sweden Maine up in Aroostook County. Brook trout paradise. After med school did residency in Montana (for obvious reasons) and we just moved back home. Now I live about 20 minutes from where I grew up but literally right on the Canadian border. If you cross the street you step in to Canada. There’s brook trout everywhere here (although a very bad hot year) but I fish blue lines and the ponds in the Northern Maine Woods. Really nothing but brookies, land locked salmon and a few ponds with blue back char.

Welcome, Jrossignol24. You fish in some truly great water. I started my fishing a bit to the south, in the St. Croix River drainage. I miss those red-water brooks and the deep-colored Brook Trout in them. Happy fishing!

Grew up in western NC, and still mostly fish in that area. Great Smoky Mountains, Balsams, and Blue Ridge. Very blessed to still be here enjoying this beautiful area and streams. Now I'm enjoying getting our grandkids and great-nephew into the swing of it. Great reason to camp and fish!

Hi everyone. First of all, thank you all for the vast amount of knowledge and experience that is shared within this forum.

I’m in central North Carolina but I have laid my head in several zip codes and continents over the years. I’ve been fly fishing for almost two decades, primarily with graphite but, I recently rediscovered glass and I’m hooked.

I fish a lot of warm water for bass, panfish, etc. I also have property in the blue ridge mountains where I am regularly outsmarted by trout. I enjoy fishIng for drum a couple times a year at the coast as well. Cheers

I grew up in Pennsylvania and currently live in Lebanon County, PA but because of my working for an international construction company, I have had the pleasure to fly fish in Northern Michigan, Montana, Northern Vermont, Colorado, Southwestern and Northeastern Utah, Washington. In PA south central to north central PA.

I grew up in the central part of New York state, Cooperstown area. Did a lot of fishing on lake Otsego and the upper Susquehanna. My best friend's father was a fly fisherman and he would show us around the little streams that ran through our area, holding wild brookies. We'd make runs up to the Syracuse area for steelhead and down to the Delaware for browns. I moved to Vermont after high school and fished a lot of the rivers and streams in the central part of that state. After college, my pursuit of a career as a professional musician took over my life and I didn't fish at all for the better part of 20 years. A trip with my father to the Adirondacks to fish the Ausable two years ago rekindled my passion for this sport.

I now live in southern Ontario and have stumbled upon some fantastic trout fishing. The Credit river and Duffins creek have been my go-to's for the past couple years. I've been out to the Grand a couple times but am hoping to explore that water some more in the coming years. Though I've upgraded my equipment, I still have my old 6'6" Eagle Claw Featherweight that got me into this game. It comes off the rack from time to time, just for nostalgia.

Happy to have found this forum, thanks for having me!

Just outside of Halifax Nova Scotia, spent the summer exploring lots of small brooks and rivers....till the water dried up anyway. But just had a good dose of rain so fingers crossed!

I grew up on the edge of the Olympic National Park in Washington state but now live in Scottsdale AZ. Mostly I fish in Utah and am just now getting into fiberglass. Pictures are of a nice brown on top from a stream and a cutthroat from one of the lakes. What a great forum!

I haven’t posted in some time but mainly Massachusetts and Rhode Island:

The season is finally winding down for me, and it has been more spin than fly due to the wind lately.

Snakeroll, that’s a nice Ross Gunnison reel. I’m a huge fan of their made in USA reels. Tough and incredibly well made.

I live in Dallas and fish mostly in north Texas. Our family also has a place in Durango, CO so I get to fish the southwestern Colorado area and San Juan in NM a few weeks every year. My wife is from the gulf coast of Mississippi so I’ve been exploring the brackish as salt waters around Pascagoula MS with a fly rod for the last few years, too. Still hunting my first redfish on the fly.

Asheville, NC but I fish all over! I'm a pilot by trade and I carry a 6-piece 8wt Hardy and an 8-piece 3wt fly/spin glass packrod from Graywolf with me whenever I travel, so I have most of my bases covered - anywhere there's water :)
