It was tough fishing for sure, but there were a few spots that had decent access. I just didn't have the camera with me when I reached those places. The pictures I took were close to where I parked. I'm hoping the water levels drop this week as our general trout season closes after October 31st and I'd really like to fish some of my favorite creeks before its too late. Time will tell.

I've noticed as I get older I look for easier creeks to fish. I fall down too much in the hard ones.

So, this is my style now.

Creek,
That is some beautiful water. Actually, I've started to seek out water that's a bit easier to fish as well. A few years back I was wading a river that had lots of big slippery rocks and I fell and broke a rib. No fun. Also, my knees ain't what they used to be so boulder hopping is becoming more of a chore. I wish we had more water around here that looked like the streams in your pictures, especially the top picture. I love grassy meadows.

My favorite semi-nearby small stream. I suppose it's more of a medium stream, but it's really not that big. The larger fishable runs are only about 20' wide or so and a lot are much more like 10'.

It'd loaded with these guys

Because of the great backcast room and the long runs, I prefer my Steffen 8' 3/4 here. It really shines for this type of water.
