middlemac ... great work in putting this project together. Mine arrived yesterday and I tossed it in the light tent this evening ...

What an excellent knife and I plan on using it as my "Streamside Lunch" blade from here on out.

Cam,
There isn't a thing wrong with those pics. Looks like you've already figured it out to me.

need to set the white balance to your lights - don't run it on auto white balance
another thing that will kill you is if you have bright fluorescents close enough to affect your photo lighting - they are green - about the color of your 3rd photo.

Got mine today. It is a nice little knife, however, to digress a bit. Way back when, I landed in the pokey in Seattle for carrying a Swedish Bayonet. Now, these things folded, and locked open. In Seattle, a knife that locks open by mechanical means is illegal. That meant that Buck knives, and Uncle Henry and all the rest, including Opinel are illegal. How about that!

Glad someone finally got around to posting on this,
Very nice knives. I have a carbon steel version in my woodworking tool belt from around 20 years ago. Different label but the dies, turnings and stampings are virtually identical. They both shave the hair off my arm. The carbon will be on the shelf but the stainless is goin in my vest. To all you fellas thinking about using your carbon knife on food, make sure you clean it off before and after use. Oils and such used to preserve the carbon steel will impart a taste to your food. Speaking from experience here.
-Thanks 'Mac,
-Jim

JimFFO ... good information. I've got one of the stainless knives ... but hope to get one of the carbon steel knives at some point.
