I met Dave Whitlock 0ver 49 years ago at the Southern Council Conclave of th old FFF. He was tying his sculpin pattern with the prairie chicken feathers for the fins. I wrote a letter to Dave asking where I could get some. He sent me a dozen matched sets signed the letter and added his patented fish drawing. I again met Dave on the White River below Bull Shoals stocking eggs using his Vibert Whitlock boxes. He got cold and damp with the rest of us. He is another legend to the sport who will be missed.
