Hi everyone, here's a great interview with the Forum's own Cameron Mortenson with Richard Perry and John Porteus from the Lovells Township Historical Museum on the past and future of glass rods...https://www.lthsmuseums.org/podcasts

I just listened. I like this one much better than the recent podcast with Tom Rosenbauer - definitely more informative, particularly about the state of the industry and the emergent diversity of fiberglass rods. Cameron also did a nice job outlining the practical difference between E Glass and S Glass, which was welcome. I don't know that many folks who are considering glass realize that there isn't just one "glass", but rather a family of fiber compounds, each with its own characteristics.

Thanks Cameron!

I agree, he did a better job than in the Orvis Interview. But he could still do a better job of describing the difference between glass, cane, and graphite. Tom Rosenbauer was obviously fishing for a better differentiator than Cameron was giving.

If you get a chance listen to the one Alexis and I did the week before. It's the podcast listed just under Cameron's.

Let me clarify - thought Cameron was great in both podcasts. I felt like Tom R was being a bit skeptical compared to the BackCast team, who I think did a nicer job of giving Cameron more space. It’s all good though! I’m happy to hear the content. Cameron really is an outstanding ambassador for our little corner of the world…

Enjoyed Cameron’s interview on this podcast. Thanks for heads-up.
