Hi everyone! I finally joined up, but have been a visitor for a long while, mostly doing research and learning. I've been fishing glass much more lately, but still dig into the other rods on occasion. My quiver is small but growing, and I just added a Steffen Bros 8' 3/4 wt and Echo River Glass 905 to the collection. Old and new! My avatar is the Steffen with the first trout I caught in the mountains of Colorado. Love that rod, and the fact that it's an original Steffen. The Echo is very nice too, though the reel seat is a little underwhelming.
My interest in glass is really much like my personality. I'm more analog than digital which is kinda weird since I'm a software product trainer in the Aerospace industry by profession. I like old vehicles, click and pawl reels, manual wind watches, and airplanes with instruments, not glass panels. The slower casting stroke and the way rods bend to the grip are so much fun. Blue line fishing is what I like best, though I've taken an interest in alpine lakes lately. The popular streams here are great, but I'm tired of the people and the plastic hatches.
Thanks to all who contribute here!
