Expect to have it functional again within a few days.

I’ve experienced some issues with Tapatalk lately in general and not only fiberglass flyrodders. Sometimes, Tapatalk won’t allow me to put photos into posts, the same format of photos that once went seamlessly into posts. Other times, I can only view forums and can’t even post text.

The main thing I liked about tapatalk is that made putting photos into posts simple. Postimage.org seems to be filling that role pretty well.

Yes, a computer. Please understand, this forum was set up to run on desktop/laptop PCs. Mobile devices were an afterthought. Tapatalk was simply bolted on to help out with intermittent mobile access, not to replace desktop access.

The underlying forum software (php and phpBB) have recently updated. I'm not sure Tapatalk has caught up yet. We'll do our best to fix things, but only if we actually can. We may simply have to wait until the software providers catch up with each other.

On looking closer, I think the problem is the version of the tapatalk software that I am running on the forum. Apparently tapatalk considers it extinct. I will try to get it updated over the weekend, but it might take a couple of tries.

Admin updated the Tapatalk software, but we are not getting much improvement in actual use.

Now we have a general forum posting issue that seems to be related. If you post and get a page of warnings, simply hit your browser BACK button a couple of times to return to the thread you were posting to. On refreshing the page, you should see your new post.

For what it is worth, this is happening for PMs also.

Near as we can tell Tapatalk is not going to work on any sites running security certificates. I don't expect Tapatalk to make a comeback.

I would suggest that you contact TapaTalk. Their software is incompatible with a current software environment.

It seems that some people are able to use it, and some not. For example: dustdog12 has just been replying to topics using TapaTalk.

I ditched it.I can get on the forum directly via phone if i am out. With that and the new image posting i am all good. i really dont need a 3rd party sending me notifications 10x a day either.I now locked out of the classic board but i dont comment much there anyway. The changes here are great tho.

I only use it when posting pictures direct from my phone. I’m unable to read content but can post using it.
