After speaking with Chris Barclay and a couple more interested parties I would like to put out a feeler for a Clave at the end of next August. I know that most anywhere in Wyoming is far from everyone so wanted to get this going in advance. The ********* Clave was well attended and a blast and after skipping this year (baby due next couple of weeks) I thought it would be fun to do something a little different.

We could use Jackson and/or Afton as a base of operations. I did the Slam 10 years ago and have wanted to do it again since. For those unfamiliar, you have to catch all 4 species of resident Wyoming Cutts. The Yellowstone, Snake River (Fine Spotted), Bonneville, and Colorado River Cutts. Here's a link to the program from Wyoming Fish and Game.

Here's a link to the Fly Fishing Guide to Wyoming I use, it covers YNP as well.

I love the idea. Jackson would be a great place with the Snake River and others nearby.

I love the idea. Afton is a great location with easy access to the Salt and Greys river and good access to Labarge Creek.
I was up that way in Early July, but things were still running high. I would love to get back for some high mountain fishing.

Keep me in the loop. I'm headed down there and the Wind River Range this September and will scope things out.

We need to firm up dates. Then we can make a definitive decisions.

I’m checking with a couple parties regarding dates and will have to make decisions on preferences. I should be able to firm up dates in the next week or 2.

Dusty,

If the timing works out right, I'll be out that way for 10-12 days for a good friend's 50th birthday trip. We don't have dates pinned down yet but if it happens to fall in the timeframe of your event, we'll be there.

Sounds like a great idea to me! The later in August the better. My youngest will be going off to college so I'm sure I'll be helping her move early to mid-month.
