Hey,
My name is Steve the Unknownflyman, Thank you for accepting me on the forum. I`ve fished glass exclusively most of my life, most of which were old brown blank FF Fenwicks. Of course as modern technology moved on I kept my glass and started experimenting with graphite, and I do fish both but as things come around full circle and getting into Ultralight gear for fishing my local trout rivers and streams, I find myself more concerned about action and presentation in my fly fishing. Also after trying some modern glass rods they seem to have the best of both worlds for casting, presentation and fighting trout and other species.
I fly fish a lot, its all I do except for the annual Walleye opener on Kabetogama in Voyager National Park. I have also landed some nice walleyes and northern pike on fly gear on the opener too.
I Love glass, I always have, I had said to my friend and good fishing bud AKA HotDish, let me finish experimenting with graphite a little longer before for I sell off all those rods and come around full circle back to fish glass exclusively.
So far I do have some nice graphite rods and glass equivalents in sizes that I like, and I of course wish to acquire more glass rods in the 2wt and 3wt sizes.
Most of my fly fishing I`m using a 3wt and 2wt rods. I'm also a long time hardcore steelheader and have had great success drifting and swinging fly's with my old Fenwick which is still in the family.
Since I'm not going to mention graphite rods here again I'm going to finish my introduction with some glass caught fish which were memorable.
Again Thanks for having me, UF
