Hi guys I'm from South Africa and I'm looking forward to learning more about building fiberglass fly rods. Are there any fellow South Africans on here?

Howdy from Texas. My grandfather grew up in South Africa and moved to the USA as a young man. I enjoyed his stories of growing up in Africa. He could speak Afrikaans and a native language with some clicking sounds. Some of my family here have been to South Africa visiting the cousins that have remained there. However, I don’t believe any of the cousins there are fly rod builders or lovers of fly fishing.

Hi, I saw SA on the horizon once from a USN ship. We couldn't visit for political reasons of the time, but we did get a much welcomed mail boat run.
Look forward to pictures of your waters and fish, always hard to imagine places one has never seen.
