I am new to Fiberglass Fly Rodders. I enjoy fishing with bamboo and classic reels. Glad to be a new member. Jed

Hello Fefferje,

Welcome and when you are in, there is no way out anymore with fishing glass. :-)

Welcome Jed...if I lived in Vermont, I'd open a paint store and stock nothing but white paint for houses and green paint for trim...Have fun with your glass and bend some boo.

Welcome to another Vermont angler. Please don't get the idea we don't know much about Vermont. I remember somewhere along Route 2 there used to be a boxcar-red house. Probably the barn, too, but it was falling down. The hardware store stocked red paint, I can tell you that. Just in case they planned to fix up the barn. Also, right near the State Line Diner along the Battenkill, there was a house that was green with white trim. Someone must have been way the other direction over to New Hampshire and liked how the lakeside camps look. Or it could have been some college people from UVM who just wanted to be different.

Welcome Jed!

I'm a New Yorker but I live right on the border of VT at the southern end of Lake Champlain. I fish in Vermont a good bit, cold- and warm-water angling.

Tight lines,
Bob

Welcome to the "glass bug" and this forum. There are several of us New Yorker's that live within 45 min of your border, quite often we find ourselves in your state.

Welcome from MA. Great people on this forum. Knowledgeable, creative and a sense of humor. Your state is beautiful and this friendly thread reminds me that I am pass due for a return visit. Last time was a few years ago fishing the Battenkill with a few of these New Yorkers, Vermonters and a character from PA.
Love to hear about your favorite waters and the glass and grass rods you bring along for your adventures.
David

A belated welcome to a great forum! I live in NH, but if I walk to the end of my driveway, I can stare out at roughly three miles of Vermont ridgeline--looks like a pretty state, and, really, I've got to get up the energy to go visit someday, though it will mean--if there's no traffic and the Connecticut River bridge is open--a three-minute drive! Say hi to the Dog River for me, which, at least ten years ago, was a real gem, a picnic to fish on my favorite Hardy Tarantino 7 /12 ft. 5-weight.
