Well, I am an IT guy that can't get a job in his field right now. So... I am installing printers and copiers for Xerox as a contractor.

I am a retired public school man; English/social studies teacher, football coach; high school principal; and retired school superintendent; retired in 01; always thought of myself as a football coach; the other titles came as the "peter principle" kicked in.(peter principle sez that in any organization, people will be promoted to the point of total inefficiency!!)-p-

I think I posted on this some time ago, I'm a self employed Handyman. Work mostly for some real estate agents and property managers.
I'm thinking I may have met smallstreamtrout at lower Scotts Flat Lake a number of years ago. The company description sounds the same. If so, Hi!
I like Rolands ambition to be a trout ninja, have to remember that. The best job is father though!.

I am a District Sales Manager for an orthopaedic implant manufacturer. Orthopaedic surgeons are carpenters for the body. Ever broken a bone? Or had arthritic pain in your shoulder, elbow, ankle, or knee? If yes, the devices they used to help you are made by companies like my employer.

I thought I knew a little about fly fishing and gear until I found this forum. Part of my day is spent reading and researching the posts here and every little bit helps. For those of you I have bothered (and will probably continue to bother) with questions, I sincerely appreciate your patience!

Commercial real estate development for 35 years, always self employed. Done with that, but still hold properties for income and to be reminded of what work is. Currently I have several Internet properties and have published two books, proving that 1) one can do OK from the Internet, and 2) there is no such thing as long term passive income.

Have done some outdoor writing, published in California Fly Fisher.

I fish whenever I want to, usually weekdays, but all year round. Just getting started with glass--been fly fishing for about 25 years, primarily still water.

Hi, I'm an Archaeologist doing cultural resource management. But after the recession and strikes on our mines been selling tires for the last year. Parent of 2 and dabbled in smallscale organic farming, more missus than me though. Not enough time for fishing though.

Time has always been more important to me than the dollar, so I'm fortunate that I get in a lot of time fly fishing and now building fly rods. I love building things, solving problems, and being able to change my schedule on a moments notice depending on what the weather is doing outside. I also am a Musician, Filmmaker, Photographerish, ahh.... let me think. I guess I haven't had a real job since I graduated from college and was finally a good enough musician that I could quit that damn pizza place job I had. So I've been doing my own thing for the last 15 years. Feel blessed. I really like this forum because it seems that everyone is real down to earth and willing to share what they know, thanks for that. Oh yeah, one more thing... i love tying knots.

ive been all over the board w jobs. I currently sell custom hardscape projects and its been good to me and very flexible as far as scheduling. keep getting sucked back into sales everytime I try to break away as I guess Im good at it. dang I wish I was doing anything else that doesnt require asking people for money. however, my outlook on work has always been that if it pays the bills and affords you the lifestyle you enjoy, who cares what you do. I guess thats me, hate selling but it lets me fish the Rockies about 80 days+ a year.

I'm retired now with not much to show for it. I have worked as a bouncer in a rock & roll tavern, bank teller, barn builder, driver for a local courier service and a warehouseman. While as part of a management team in a human blood plasma collection center, I once told my boss that if I ever hit the lotto, I'd be out of here so fast that the resulting vacuum would suck half the supplies here out the door with me.

I'm an IT guy, mostly in help desk and ID admin, but also did some programming during the tech boom. I was in desperate need of a mid-career break, so since April I've been remodeling my house and sometimes fishing. Unfortunately, I'll have to find employment again soon.

I was originally trained as an artist, and worked as a photographer & graphic designer for a few years.
